Novel Magnetic Circuit Design and Acceleration Calculation of Horizontal Linear Vibration Motor

This study proposes a novel magnetic circuit design to reduce the size of horizontal linear vibration motors (HLVMs) used in vehicle touchscreens. The HLVM prototype uses two thick permanent magnets create below voice coil; however, places four thin above and coil. Moreover, coil position has been changed yoke center an effective with short magnets. Compared vertical motor, force calculation method is significantly different. In this study, new analyze electromagnetic–mechanical coupling HLVM. As prototype, small (−28.85%) but possesses similar acceleration. experimental results verify analysis displacement acceleration on dummy jig.
